The Sound Technician prepares, sets up, installs, and/or operates Sound equipment for events, working to achieve the highest standard of service and equipment quality.

Tasks:

Setup Speakers & Amplifiers

Setup & Operate Analogue/Digital Sound Desks

Setup wired/wireless microphones
-
Equipment Testing/Updating & Maintenance

Reading/Understanding/Executing Technical Plans
Qualifications and requirements
-
Associate degree or relevant years of experience
-
Competency in using MS Office applications
-
TCP/IP Network Systems
-
Sound Processing (EQ, Compressors, Gates, Effects)
-
Microphone Placement Techniques
-
Audio Cables & Connectors
-
Power Distribution
-
Strong written and spoken English
-
Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;

Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
